A debut collection of modern contemporary poetry covering subjects of “Parenthood”, “Politics” and “Funny Old World”.  The 30 poems cover many aspects of modern day life including “Facebook”, “Haldron Collider”, “LOL” and a poem about finding a weird looking potato “Heart Shaped Spud” amongst your shopping.  A delightful and thought provoking look at aspects of everyday life.

Elaine was born in 1967 in Bangor, North Wales and brought up in Stoke-on-Trent, England.  She started writing poetry at the age of 10 when she discovered the work of Pam Ayres of whom she remains a big fan. The  Dinosaur Bones collection brings together Elaine’s experiences over the last 7 years and is heavily influenced through raising her three daughters.  Elaine has been a regular contributer to Fledgling Press writers website www.canyouwrite.com and this book brings together 30 of her selected poems including the April 2011 winning entry “Tiger”.
